The lawn in front of the farmhouse, with the stone path

The farmhouse

The house, the pool on the lawn, the kitchen in the gazebo and the barbecue garden, all inside the same gate.

For decades this farmhouse was a country storehouse, with a wood-fired oven beside it where the grandmothers baked friselle, taralli and bread from stone-ground flour. Today it has been restored, extended and turned into a place to stay: three rooms, each with its own bathroom, for up to six guests.

The farmhouse has lime-washed walls, stone paving outside and a covered patio facing the lawn. You come in along the path between two tuff columns; parking is inside the gate.

The idea is a place on a human scale, warm and welcoming, far from the city and everyday life: a small refuge among the ancient olive trees of Puglia, where in the morning the quiet and the sounds of the countryside wake you.

The pool

It sits on the lawn a few steps from the rooms, with loungers, umbrellas and hanging chairs. Beside it stands the old stone well, and in the evening the water is lit.

The Gazebo degli Ulivi

This is the house kitchen: a building of its own, less than ten metres from the rooms, with glass doors onto the pool and a white-beamed ceiling.

It has an induction hob, an oven, a microwave, a fridge and a machine for coffee, cappuccino, tea and herbal teas. Breakfast is not served by staff, but you’ll find everything you need to make it yourselves: milk, coffee, juices, yoghurt, jam, honey, Nutella, biscuits, pastries and cereals. Have it by the pool or on the terrace next to the garden.

The Giardino degli Ulivi

Next to the pool, a furnished area under the iron pergola: sofas, a long table and a masonry barbecue with an oven, the garden’s name written above it. The barbecue is available on request, for a fee (see the extra services below).
